Soil fertility and vitality are the foundation of everything. Our philosophy is to conserve soils by keeping them alive and nourished. We protect them with permanent plant covers that reduce erosion and runoff and help maintain fertile soil. We use mixtures of grasses, legumes, and honey-producing species, which enrich the soil with organic matter and stimulate its microbiology. These plants also attract pollinating insects, improving the ecological balance of the environment.
Through minimal tillage and adapted cover management, we promote the formation of stable aggregates, increase soil porosity, and reinforce its role as a natural sponge. Because soil is the silent infrastructure that supports a truly resilient agricultural ecosystem.
El ciclo de la materia orgánica lo cerramos a través de un sistema de compostaje regenerativo que transforma residuos en recurso. Elaboramos compost a partir de restos de poda de la vid, siegas de jardinería, paja de cereales y estiércoles de ovino y vacuno procedentes de explotaciones cercanas. Sumamos los residuos orgánicos generados en nuestras propias actividades, integrando todas las áreas de la finca en un modelo de economía circular.
This compost, rich in stable organic matter and microbial biodiversity, is applied to our soils as a locally sourced organic fertilizer, improving their structure, water retention capacity, and biological life. In this way, the soil is nourished, regenerated, gains resilience, sequesters carbon, and sustains a more balanced and self-sufficient agricultural ecosystem.
We are committed to a highly efficient irrigation system based on Agriculture 4.0 principles, combining sensor technology, climate monitoring, and real-time data analysis.
We equip our plots with humidity probes, weather stations, and flow meters that allow us to precisely adjust the timing, dosage, and quantity of water applied, taking into account the actual needs of the vineyard.
Our winery, vineyards, and hotel run on 100% renewable energy, generated by solar panels installed on the estate. This choice reduces our carbon footprint and reflects our commitment to being an active part of the climate solution.
We carry out a series of actions aimed at improving species habitats, with special attention to auxiliary fauna beneficial to the vineyard. Our goal is to foster a biodiverse, resilient, and ecologically balanced wine ecosystem.
The installation of shelters for pollinating insects and natural predators is just a symbolic example of our philosophy: it´s about growing grapes and cultivating hospitality toward wildlife as well.
As part of our integrated protection strategy, we use pheromone diffusers for biological pest control, completely avoiding the use of insecticides and acaricides. This biotechnological method acts selectively, leaves no residue, and protects auxiliary fauna, contributing to a more balanced and healthy vineyard agroecosystem.
